When you stand back and look, it’s simply a beautiful dance.

Look to the heavens
look to the trees
to the rivers and fields
the deer and the muskrat,
the butterfly and hawk.
See your place amidst them
each beautiful, unique,
alive with essence,
each a necessary spoke in the precious web
so indecipherable and innate.

As the stars shine,
as the trees bend with the air
and the wings of the birds pulse upon it,
as the waters flow,
as the tender lily gestates below
the wintering grounds,
then pushes up to burgeon in quiet surprise:
life looks toward your own unfolding,
yet another thing of joy.
